Great success and standing ovations in the sold out Seoul Arts Center for the opening evening of Wagner's “Ring”, directed by Achim Freyer.

The first performance of Wagner's Rheingold in Korea with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra and a largely Korean cast was the result of months of preparatory work by director Achim Freyer and conductor Matthias Fletzberger. Achim Freyer's third production of Wagner's “Ring des Nibelungen” completely dispenses with major technical effects and concentrates entirely on the archaic, universally valid conflicts in this central work of opera literature.
