On November 3rd, Matthias Fletzberger took part in the charity gala “30 years O sole nostro”. The entire proceeds went to the “Fondo Memorial Eduardo Vargas”, a foundation set up by Ramón Vargas and Amalia to help children and young people with disabilities in the poorest areas in Mexico.

Participants at the gala included: Carlos Álvarez, Stephen Costello, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Inva Mula, Adam Plachetka, Ildikó Raimondi, Michael Schade, Erwin Schrott, Sonya Yoncheva, Ramón Vargas and Jonas Kaufmann. At the end of the concert, the tenors Ramón Vargas, Jonas Kaufmann, Michael Schade and Juan Diego Florez sang 'O sole mio' together.
